interesting topic... US Debt was 9.6 trillion on august 1 2008, right before the big crash. 3 yrs before that it was 7.9 trillion in aug 2005. 3 yrs after the crash in aug 2011, it is 14.3 trillion. Nearly double in 6 yrs.

I find buying on bleak days can provide some decent returns-- like buying today. Overall sentiment is likely to be down for the time being but there is an opportunity for trading. As well, once can aquire some large cap bargains that tend to rebound -- CDN bank stocks for example. I am sticking with a few of the microcaps that seem to have great promise. The volatility is irksome but if one buys one the very cheap days then the downside can be limited. As always patience is a virtue.
