It really depends which service you are using as to how they display the information. Some services display market depth using the actual number shares desired on the bid or ask. Others use board lots which are lots of 100 above $1.00 and lots of 500 below $1.00. Either way, the market depth does show the number of shares on the bid or ask and how many orders constitute that total. Hope this helps.

I have question about reading indepth charts. Order heading means how many orders placed at a certain price level? Board lots, does it mean the amount of shares they would like to buy? Bid is the price the trader is willing to pay? If anyone could clarify, I would appreciate it. Thanks. Liz
