Wow! Merger with Solana is done. 1.3million shares traded today. Trying to buy some more. GTE earned .18eps in Q3 and Solana earned .19eps. So they earned enough in Q3 to justify current share price. Production after merger 11.5k bpd but guiding for exit rate of 15K for 2008. Read the Q3 for both and think about all the possibilities. Colombia has a very favorable tax structure for oil/gas producers. GTE has a massive land position in Colombia and now production in Argentina, which has less favorable royalty/taxes but will still contribute to cashflow. http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/081106/aqth040.html?.v=76 http://biz.yahoo.com/cnw/081113/solana_q3_08_results.html?.v=1 Most energy stocks are way undervalued but lower energy prices are going to impact future qtrs. However GTE has significant production increases already discovered and being completed and tied in. That will help them offset price declines. Exciting potential with all their various drilling projects. This looks like a very real candidate for a mulit bagger. Wish I had more. Trying to buy some today but hoping it will fade a bit at the close. Bobwins
