Its products have multiple applications across crop protection, grain storage, public health and consumer uses. Flavocide and Qcide are the Company’s lead beta-triketone insecticide products. Flavocide is a natural beta-triketone molecule produced synthetically by a chemical process. Qcide is a natural oil product containing tasmanone as the active constituent. The oil is extracted from the leaves of a rare cultivar of an Australian eucalypt, the Gympie Messmate (Eucalyptus cloeziana), by utilizing a steam distillation process. The Company operates in one business segment, being the conduct of research and development activities in the discovery of novel insecticides.
